Recent Projects
I am currently working as a QA Analyst on the Wax Heart Team, ensuring the stability and quality of PC builds through rigorous functional and stress testing. My role focuses on the technical side of QA, utilizing debug logs and console commands to isolate root causes before issues reach engineering. I also manage the bug lifecycle in Trello, providing high-quality reproduction steps to streamline fixes for critical project milestones.
I'm developing a fully replicated survival combat RPG in Unreal Engine 5 using the Gameplay Ability System.
I have implemented dynamic attack abilities with C++, effect actors and attribute systems to build stat scaled effects.
This was a quick game jam project I worked on with a group of programmers and artists. My primary focus was implementing a grappling hook system using the needle in the players hand. The Needle could both be used as a Titan Fall style grapple hook or just to grab objects like the spool above. Additionally, I created a simple AI for some in game sheep that would run from the player unless they were placed in their pen.
I made this in 4 days for Cosmic Horror Jam 3. I only managed to build the Resident Evil Style Tank Controls along with a moody set of levels to Navigate and minor character interactions. You can check out and early build through the text link.
Class Projects
This short video (3:24) is just a series of projects I made while following classes on Unreal Engine since the start of 2024. While I did implement many of my own unique functions and abilities in the majority of these projects in c++ (and Blueprints), I wouldn't consider anything here distinct enough to claim as a personal project. Designed and optimized a Wake Word model to accurately identify a specific keyword from a variety of other words and environmental noise, achieving high levels of precision and recall for real-time keyword identification in noisy environments.
While this model worked well on a small dataset I would need to dramatically expand the data fed to the model to make it serviceable for a Wake Word application

Two other data scientists and I utilized time series data from Google and COVID-19 restrictions as exogenous features to identify a relationship between mental health related Google searches and COVID-19 restrictions in certain states.
In this project we used multiple models including TBATS SARIMA Prophet and Grekite. While there was a notable difference in searches for more restricted states there is more work to be done to isolate the effect of restrictions

In this project I leveraged Pushshift's API to collect posts from two politically opposed subreddits. Then I trained a binary classification model using NLP to identify which subreddit a post belongs to.
With Count Vectorized and Lemmatized data from over 10,000 posts I was able to achieve an accuracy of %75 with a Naive Bayes Classifier
